Imre Kocsis is an assistant professor at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), Budapest, Hungary. His research focus areas are the resilience and performance of consortial blockchain solutions and Central Bank Digital Currencies. Currently, he is working on CBDC-related topics in a collaboration project with the Hungarian National Bank (the central bank of Hungary). He created the first blockchain course at BME in 2018 and led the development of two professional courses on blockchain at the European Institute of Technology. In addition to education, he regularly gives invited lectures to professional as well as non-IT audiences.
