Dr. Haris Javaid is a Senior Staff Researcher at AMD, and is currently leading blockchain research efforts at the Singapore office, especially performance improvement and scalability of permissioned blockchains. His broader research interests include domain specific accelerators for high performance and energy-efficient computing. He is currently chairing Hyperledger Performance and Scale Working Group, and has also served as TPC member of international conferences such as ICCAD and VLSI-SoC. He has presented at many international forums, and has 35+ publications including a book, and several issued and filed patents. Dr. Javaid has many years of academic and industrial research and development experience. Before AMD, he has worked at Xilinx Singapore, Google USA and the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Australia. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from UNSW Australia.
